national academic conferences and church-sponsored events throughout the country.

Ed Ryan, Fairfax County Gang Prevention Coordinator, works directly with the Northern Virginia Gang
Task Force and serves as Director of the Juvenile Court’s Intensive Supervision Program. In overseeing numerous
intervention and supression programs, he has tremendous insights into gangs’ use of social media platforms.
