Announcing Our New Pulpit Minister

by The Elders on June 28, 2026

The elders are pleased to announce that Marcus Stenson will be joining us in August as our new pulpit minister. Marcus and his wife, Maggie, enjoyed meeting many of you when they were here in May, and they look forward to being part of the Falls Church family.

Marcus hails from West Virginia where he was a collegiate athlete at Ohio Valley University. He will be coming to us from Austin, Texas, where he and his wife, Maggie, have been working with a growing and diverse community of faith at the Leander church of Christ.

Marcus is co-founder of Christians for Kenya, a nonprofit built to advance the Kingdom through education and humanitarian partnerships. Additionally, Marcus is a founding member of Be1Make1, an initiative that equips church leaders to be “on mission” disciple makers who create disciple-making cultures. Here at Falls Church, Marcus will co-host the weekly podast, Radically Christian with Wes McAdams.

Texas native, Maggie Stenson, brings her passion for young women’s ministry work. Also, she’ll continue her work with ATX Nutritional
Counseling, an organization she founded to help those suffering with eating disorders. She currently serves on the board of Central Texas Eating Disorder Specialists (CTEDS).

Look for more information in the weeks to come. And keep the Stensons in your prayers as they make their plans to join us in Falls Church.
